Reflecting on Moab

You can see where I fell from where the bike is down to the trees

Our week in the Moab area left some marks, but we're happy to include it in our honeymoon memories.

Life and Times in Moab

While in Moab, we went to a Cuban Jazz concert at a Ranch alongside the Colorado River and we danced in the rain with some other older couples, none of us were very pretty at dancing, but since none of us knew what we were doing we had fun.  Afterwards we went to the Desert Bistro and had Elk.

Joe's Ridge Trail

This is a trail in Fruita Colorado called Joe's Ridge.  The picture of Eliasib with a bike over his shoulder is because I took another spill, which completes my qualifications for being uncoordinated in intermediate mountain biking. He offered to carry my bike while riding his, doesn't he look intense!
This was a really awesome trail!! And even though the mountain has claimed me twice, all I can do is beg for more!!

Arches National Park

After leaving the Moab trail, we headed for Arches Nat. Park, it was very hot!  Eliasib got me a stuffed animal puppy to make me feel better, his name is Moab.

Moab: The Slickrock Trail

This trail is like riding on the moon, it's very surreal.  I don't know if it was the elevation or the fact that I'm out of shape, but in my exhausted stupifaction, I ended up sliding down a steep grade and being miraculously stopped by Eliasib.  Somehow he was actually running faster than I was falling and he caught me while balancing on the almost vertical slope.  I don't know which was more shocking, tumbling off a cliff, or being suspended 10 feet from the bottom by my husband.

ELIASIB IS MY HERO!!!!!!
